In a unanimous vote, William George has been elected as the new chairman of Romsey, Chandler's Ford, and District Round Table.
The change will be effected from April 19 after the AGM.
Mr George plans to focus on increasing membership and enhancing their charitable offerings. Notably, their social calendar has grown more diverse with several new members.
Mr George, 43, said: “The last year has been a bit rudderless for us. We are in desperate need of a firm-hand to up the ante and I am looking forward to whipping these young men into shape.”
Outgoing chairman Ross Knapman said: "I wish William all the best for taking over the new role. If he wants any advice then he should probably speak to Euan Douglas who infamously managed to sit two terms rather than the customary one between 2019 and 2021.
"I am desperate to improve fundraising to where it was in 2022 and have even signed up for the New Forest marathon to get the ball rolling. It means I have less time to invest in my hobby of cryptocurrency but needs must."
