A Southampton house with a ‘car park’ for a driveway has been put up for sale.
The home on Butterfield Road in Bassett is listed on Charters estate agents’ website for a guide price of £550,000.
The four-bedroom house is described as being in a ‘sought after’ location with a driveway that allows parking for numerous vehicles.
The listing reads: “Outside the block paviour driveway allows off road parking several vehicles and there is a side path found on the left."
The property has recently been subject to scrutiny after the owner, Mr Patel, paved over his garden to make space for seven cars.
Digging up the lawn and chopping down a tree to construct the driveway did not form part of the original plans submitted to Southampton City Council.
At a planning and rights of way panel meeting last week, members approved Mr Patel’s amended application.
He was told to reintroduce greenery to the area after breaching land control.
Speaking at the meeting, planning officer Anna Coombes said: “Works have been undertaken to start reinstating the lawn to be in accordance with the landscaping scheme that was previously approved, but there is still work to be done.”
