A traffic warning has been issued in Southampton today with high volumes of cruise passengers expected to descend on the city.
Southampton City Council’s highways team has advised motorists to plan their journeys in advance.
Alerting followers on social media, a spokesperson for Southampton Travel said: “High volumes of cruise passengers are expected in the city today with cruise ships arriving/departing.”

They added: “Please plan any journeys to the waterfront in advance as it will be busy.”
Cruise ships Borealis and Bolette both arrived in port in the early hours of the morning, with the cruise liners anticipated to have left the docks by 6.30pm this evening.
